Succes Patxanga 2022
Succes Patxanga 2022
Grapes: Trepat
Catalonia, Spain
Bright and fruity with a good bit of structure for a rosé. This isn't super light and crisp like the southern French rosé you may know, rather there's lovely strawberry and cherry notes with medium body.
Serve chilled.
Winemakers, Albert and Mariona say that ‘Patxanga’ has two meanings: 1. It's a football street game with only one rule: to have fun with friends. 2. It's also a type of music typically played in their villages’ summer festivals. Both concepts reflect summer, friends, and fun, which was their idea of this wine.
MAKING OF: 100% Trepat sourced from 40 year-old bush-trained vines grown calcareous clay @ 400-500 m. Hand-picked at low brix and sorted, then direct pressed into stainless steel. Spontaneous fermentation and ageing in steel with zero sulfur added.
