From the winemaker, Andy Young,

When we say this wine is tropical, we’re not just talking about some vaguely mixed-fruit-cup vibe. We’re talking about cutting open ripe passion fruit on a hidden beach cove in Hawaii, eating them directly from the shell and jumping into the sea, hand-in-hand with the love of your life tropical. That is to say, it’s intense. It’s visceral. It lingers in the dreamest way. Perfect with take-out Pad Thai, Adobo Pork, Caramelized Carrots or Sour Cream & Onion Dip.

MAKING OF:  Sauvignon Blanc fermented on skins for three weeks, blended together with Pinot Gris that was skin fermented while being submerged in direct press Chardonnay (which is also our technique for Disco Nap). Full lees aging, racked to stainless steel one month before bottling with a small SO2 addition at racking.

Andrew Reginald Young left behind a career as a New Orleans rock drummer in 2012 to make low-intervention wines from cooler climate vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley. He works with a lot of carbonic maceration to keep the wines light, all fermented with native yeasts and minimal intervention in the winery. The name of the winery is an amalgamation on his middle name, Reginald, and his neighborhood growing up in New Orleans, St Tammany Parish.
