The Côteaux du Giennois is a small appellation just north of Pouilly Fumé. This lovely Sauvignon Blanc has more than a passing resemblance to a good Sancerre. This pure and refined white shows layers of flint, lime, verbena and a zip of citrus peel. Texturally this is crisp, with a profile that is focused and intensely flavored. Finishes zesty and long, with savory minerality. A great value!
